Chemical Dispensing Pump and Tubing Compatibility |
This chemical dispensing pump operates by peristaltic means. Fluid travels through just the interior of the tubing without wetting other pump components. The Chemical Compatibility Chart depicts how a chemical fluid type effects various tubing formulations. Uses for the peristaltic pump include chemical dispensing, sampling and the transfer of sterile or toxic fluids. The information in the compatibility tables have been supplied by the tubing manufacturers and is to be used ONLY as a guide to select your tubing. Powered Pump / Optional Remote Jack / 5 ft. Cord With Open Leads RolaTec offers an optional Remote Jack and 5 Foot Cord. This is a switching jack that opens the circuit to the motor when the male plug of the cord is inserted into the jack. The 2 leads from the end of the cord (Left Image) need to be closed to start the motor. The pump operates normally from the control panel when the plug isn't inserted into the jack. |

The circuitry for the Remote Jack activates a power relay inside the pump to close the circuit for the motor. Switching devices for remote on-off operation could be a foot switch or a timer unit. After receiving your selected tubing, we recommend an immersion test to check compatibility. Always pretest before pumping unknown or marginal chemicals. Immerse a sample length of tubing for at least 48 hours in a closed vessel containing the fluid you wish to pump. Examine the tubing for swelling, brittleness, cracking, or other signs of deterioration. If there's no change in the tubing, it should be compatible. Although the tubing may have passed | the immersion test, variations in temperature, pressure, or chemical concentration may cause serious injury because of tubing failure. Test a sample length of tubing in the pump under the conditions of your application. It is the users responsibility to use suitable guards, and personal protection. All the ratings are determined at 70°F (21°C). Higher temperatures will decrease the chemical resistance of all the tubing formulations listed. |
